Visits Tourist Back Restored aftermath of Mount Merapi

Excursions in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta, Merapi disaster recovery, after the previous number of visitors dropped by 37.8 percent.

He said the number of visitors at four tourist attraction in Kulon Progo Gunung Merapi status as "alert", on the first weekend in October 2010 the number of visitors reached 3568 people, then the second week of October as many as 4653 people.

However, when the status of Merapi to the third week, October 11 until October 17, 2010 the number of visitors of 4507 people, or decreased 146 (3.14 percent).

Then in the second week, October 18 until October 24, 2010 the number of visitors as many as 3816 people, or a decrease of 837 persons or 17.99 percent.

Since then the number of visitors has declined quite sharply. In the fourth week of October 25 till October 31, 2010 the number of visitors 3717 people, or decreased 936 persons (20.11 percent).

While in the first week, 1 November to 7 November 2010, the number of visitors continued to decline up to 37.84 percent. The number of visitors at that time as many as 2893 people.

Previously, he invites investors to develop culinary tourism in Glagah Beach attractions that have a bright future if serious tilled. "We started to intensify campaigns for investors interested in working on a culinary tour at this beach a tourist attraction," he said.

According to him, until now there have been two local investors who are interested in working on a culinary tour attractions Glagah Beach Kulon Progo. "There are two investors who wanted to open a seafood restaurant on this beach," he said.

Glagah Beach is one of the leading tourist beach beach in Yogyakarta Special Region. This beach has very nice scenery, and the stretch of sand contains enough iron sand potential.
